Join us at our Bookish Singles Mixer at Orion Bar!

Note: This event is currently heavily skewing towards a mix of women but we have a fun night planned! Whether you want to make new friends or spark romantic connections, this is a great event to meet and mingle with fellow readers!

Orion Bar (@orionbarbk), a bar in Bushwick that describes itself as Korean AND American, is one of our favorite places in the city, and we're so excited to be partnering with them again for this event. Whether you're in the mood for a patty melt with kimchi pimento cheese or a negroni with jujube-infused soju, you can find an array of creative snacks and drinks on offer there.

We'll provide book- and reading-related prompts to start conversations and connections, and we'll also have books available for purchase.

Entry is $40 and includes a free beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available!) from Orion Bar and a $15 credit towards a book from Yellow Peril Books.

Refunds and Exchanges

Ticket purchases cannot be refunded. Because we don't have our own storefront, we host our events in partnership with other local small businesses, meaning we share all operational costs as well as revenue with them based on anticipated attendance. The only way for our partner businesses to properly prepare supplies, space, and food/drinks for these events is to have a clear idea of how many attendees to expect, meaning that any last-minute changes make it that much harder to host.

Exchanges for future events are allowed if you reach out a minimum of 10 days before the start of the original event you signed up for. Our events are usually sold out and we want to make sure that we'd have enough time to fill any open spots with people who are hoping to join.
